Confederate Flag? Lots of people where I live love their Confederate Flag and love to decorate everything with it. I've seen a couple of tags and t-shirts with the Confederate Flag on it that also read "Heritage not Hate".
What do you guys feel about the Confederate Flag? Do you think its a heritage symbol or just one that promotes hate?
A quote in relevant to this argument. "Your heritage promotes hate."
You cant just take a flag and say it stands for something else. That be like taking the Canadian flag and saying it stands for northern pride. Its just not right. Its not what it stands for.
Pixie314 makes a good point, I'm a hindu and the swastika is a very important religious symbol for me , but for others they see it as a symbol for jewish hate.
Confedracy wasn't a symbolism of slavery, so I don't think there's anything wrong with the flag, especially since the country now hates racism. Your flag doesn't promote racism anymore, so your flag does not promote hate.
The country does not hate racism there are still racist people out there.

Just the other day there was someone who created a white supremacy thread here on AG. There are still a ton of people that are racist, even if they don't admit it.
