Maiden's "Different World" is better than anything by Metallica.

Metallica is one of my favorite bands. They always have awesome songs with good melodies and powerful beats and vocals.

anyone who says if it weren't for iron maiden metallica wouldnt be around.
metallica is from l.a in a time with all of the hair metal bands.
ulrich hated glam metal and wanted to bring his own kind of metal to the stage.
yea he was influenced by maiden. along with tons of other influences.

but anyways i say metallica because to me.
they are the fathers of metal.
look at any current rock band.
from foo fighters to suicide silence or sum 41 to cannibal corpse. all inspired by them.
and i say master of puppets is easily the greatest album of all time.

but dont get me wrong i love maiden.
but i'd rather rock out with metalica

Iron Maiden is awesome, much better than metallica for me. they are both epic though

Don't get me wrong, they are both great bands. but what's with all the saying that THEY are the fathers of metal? Black Sabbath, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, or Motörhead ring any bells?!

But anyways if I had to choose between them, I would have to say Metallica, I'm more into Thrash as of late.

Iron Maiden is better. Britain churns out the best bands.
