Sorry, in my opinion, the parents killed madeleine and covered the tracks. And the Portuguese police did a good job on "trying to find her". I wouldn't give a penny or waste a minute of my time helping them, they killed her.
This young girl disappeared from her parent's hotelroom in Portugal - and that's the last that was seen of her, verified at least. Now her parents are desperately searching for her, even though the Portugal police believe they were responsible for her disappearance. They dropped the case due to a lack of evidence though. And that's about it, in a nutshell. On a related note: Green, you don't watch Oprah I suppose? Maddie's parents have appeared there as well.

As far as I know they left her on the hotel room while they went out with some friends. I have the greatest sympathy for them but I wouldn;t leave my kid in a hotel toom with (I think) her siblings. I do hope she is alive.
Can anyone remember the name of those people that kidnapped their own kid so they could get money, inspired by the mcann case.
I have a friend quite high up in the Scottish Police. In fact he's now the officer responsible for the protection of all children in Scotland, and it was interesting hearing his thoughts on the matter:
Apparently, the behaviour displayed by the parents was very untypical of parents who have lost a child. Normally they hug their other children closer to them and are reluctant to see the press, but during the aftermath of the incident there wasn't a day without a press conference, and the parents left their children at home whilst they were out looking for her in Portugal.
He also said that most police psychologists, in his department at least, agree that the parents possibly killed Madeline by accident and are just covering it up. It does seem very odd they would leave her and her baby sister alone for hours on end while they were out to dinner.

haven't we all seen this whole scenario one to many times i mean there was even a episode of South Park about this of course the parents killed her there's no way around it
