I'm trying to get the achievement "Old Ghosts" so I can't use any team mates. I'm a cold hydro, but I don't have the life to survive he assault. I have the equipment to respec to a hot hydro if I need to. So can someone give me a mini walk through on getting this achievement with a hydro? Thanks in advance. P.S. I am level 30 so no training.
If you wanted legend, you won't lose it by training... But mainly... Its been awhile since I fought him on hydro, but unless I am mistaken the Freeze-Avenger-Freeze-Glacier-Mind Freeze-Glacier-Glacier series works pretty well against him... It works on virtually any character and allows them no time to heal/hit you with high focus attacks... If you wanted, you could replace an optional skill like ice wall with maxed reconstruct. That way, over the three turn period where he isn't stunned, you could just heal more than he could deal so your wheel would look something like
Guess you won't have time to use it so get rid of shatter... (replace with ice wall)
Then stun it back... Then use avenger, flash freeze, glacier, ice wall, reconstruct, wait a couple turns, flash freeze, regulate, flash freeze, glacier, ice wall, reconstruct, (see a pattern yet?)
Volt is pretty much dead on. Using the awesome lockdown capabilities of a hydro, the fight is easy. However, Ice Wall is unneeded, and you can fit a 3/4 or 4/4 Reconstruct into the space after Mind Freeze so you don't mess up the lock. I also used Vapor Cannon instead of Regulate, but they both work.
Not bad for not having done it myself... I knew that recon uses less turns at higher levels, but I didn't know how many nor did I know how much it healed...
