There's a lot of Armatars and I think they need a back story. All could be different. But still it would be interesting to see what people think the little dudes in that little box could be.
Mine is a Graka. A race of small furry creatures that come in Pink, Blue, Yellow, and Green. These guys sleep in trees and spend the daylight hours stealing whatever they see and burying it, unfortunately they usually get bored half way through or forget they buried it in the first place. They communicate with each other by small chirping and squeaking sounds.
Not just any grasshopper though, the grasshopper that helped save me in Lolo's The Beginning of AG story. Or at least, he might save me. We'll have to see.
Mine is the sun because most of the others looked like either a 6 year drew it, it didn't relate to me at all, or it was too generic looking (like all the basic level armatar)
I like to think that I am an optimistic person and the sun represents that to me.

My Armatar is a skeleton. On the hand you can't see, he holds a lolypop. Long Live Lolypop!!! His trusted companion of the lolypop resistance zlith....
