like there should be a list of all the people or something

Hmm... I would actually like this idea. A link to a members list would be really convenient.

ut if you knwo their name you can type it in the address bar like this "http://armorgames.com/user/Jrmagic/" the bolded bit being their name (sorry) and it will take them directly to them.

And if there was a member list, AG may become laggy because there are more than 200000 users here.
Also, people might spam. (yes. it is a problem)

It's easier to do things to get friends. One thing I used to do is make free rider maps. I
make them, people play them, they give me feedback, we exchange more maps, and before you know
it, their name is on my wall of flame =P

There are other ways to do it, but simply saying hi on their profile isn't going to cut it. All
it is is spam.

I don't actually understand what this has to do with friends. However kac is thinking is probably badly, as you shouldn't go around saying 'Hi' or 'wanna be friends?' to randoms.

just like searching for games,
you type in some letters and get only the names which look-alike or related
so it wont become a list with a bunch of names

i think a place to find players is necessary, you can only find others if they have commended or are ranked
but what if you want to ad someone which is your real-life friend and a totally new starter? how do you get his name....

If you wanted to do this then you would ask them for their username, which you would then put at the end of this:

http://armorgames.com/user/****** <---- enter username.

Or you could get them to post on your profile first.

Or you could just get them to give you the link of their profile over IM or something similar.

Making a list of all the members would be kinda stupid. Klaushouse coded something once and got about 2000 people on his friends list, the first 2000 members, but after that it didn't work.

If you had that option, would you like a page of 200 000+ names on it?

Anyway, it is about having a list of all the members of AG with a nice little link to their profile, so you can go from . to Z to see all the names used, all the members and so on.
It is simply a suggestion for a list.
