Here are some of my ideas hopefully some of the designers will look at this before the game is finished. Post any of your ideas too. you have the choice to search the buildings yourself or search automatically also get to look for vehicles to use eg. drive-by on cars, shoot the guns from tanks and guns maybe bombs from planes / helicopters. maybe hunt for food option and in the first last stand it said funny messages like: call mum if i live. bring them back and maybe choose which building in the town/ city to set up baricades.
