I heard this recomendation, and I thought it was a good one: Black Sabbath vs. Pantera.
metallica all the way, james can sing, ozzy cant. So what if they are the pioneers of metal, metallica are thrash metal which is completley different to sabbaths style.

Thrash metal wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Black Sabbath.
Next is Metallica vs. Slayer, two thrash metal bands, this should be close. By the way please make recomendations for the next band that I should choose.
I know I'm late but hey.... I wouldn't class his bands as classic GnR was fomred in thein the mid 80'd. I wish classic rock was included though.
To stay on topic though I will go for Metallica since I have a few good songs though both are a bit heavy fo rmy usual style I do listen to them quite a bit.
Metallica is one of the best bands ever, so obviously I vote for them. btw, the other battle of the bands thread is doing metal right now. Metallica v.s Ozzy, so I think people should just stick to using that one.
