You know what? I think that thinking you are depressed well help you be more depressed.

If that makes sense.

Go laugh hysterically at everything you see. Not only will it get you attention but eventually you find the worst joke funny as hell and never upset anyone. Unless you laugh individually at each of their features...

Be sure not to be thrown into an institute.

One thing that will work for sure: Don't think about being depressed. As long as you consider yourself depressed you will be. Sure it may not be easy, but it will work.

Also, have some fun. Don't spend all your time thinking about problems. I get semi-depressed from time to time, and I've realized that if I'm always thinking about how bad things are and never having any fun then I take forever to get better.

The only problem with that is that currently you're not in the best mood, so most the time people don't really care how much worse off other people are. You're currently in a bad situation, sure they might be in a worse one, but that doesn't mean it's any better for you.

I found that once I got rid of my girlfriend I started feeling better right away. I felt free again and there wasn't that constant pressure to do something. If I were you I'd consider breaking up with her, for the sake of your own mental health. You might feel a lot better as a result.

Well don't drink alcohol or use morphine/heroine those are depressants. You can use some crack or speed, that oughta lift your spirits... though they are illegal. I actually suggest you go running or doing social activities, that is the better thing to do.

yo man, i had the same problem a couple months back.. I went to a psychiatrist and ended up going for like about 1 year. My grades were suffering cuz i just didn't give a f'ck. Um what i learned was find something your happy with.. Like everytime ur around them u feel happy (even if atm its just a glimmer of happiness). If your gf is just causing a bunch of drama for no reason and not helping you out at all during this state, you need to get rid of her... All she will do is constantly remind you of this depression, and you will never get better. As well you need to tell someone this... A best friend who you trust deeply, or a relative that you confine in or treat as if he was your mentor.
What ended up helping while i was in this hard time was weed. I hate saying that and i dont want you to get all into it, but it made me happy for a day at a time... Eventually it helped get me through some hard days..
For a big part of getting over depression for me it was friends... Everytime I was around them i felt so much btr... When i was home i would feel like sh't... In order to get btr i was able to have friends chill pretty much all the time, party it up... I ended up stop having to toke up and was just able to chill out with them. I started feeling btr...
But like i said if theres something you love doing, and makes u feel happy doing it, go ahead and do it... You may want to tell your parents, I ended up confiding in mine as I was half way down the road to hell... Of course it was to late for them to help which is why i went to those mental dr's....
Finally, don't feel ashamed... All of the world suffers from depression at one point or another... They of course differ in how bad it is, but everyone feels depressed. It's a part of life, and no matter how bad you feel, you WILL get over it
