When i tried to turn on my laptop just now, it said i may be a victim of "software counter fitting" and that the copy of windows i have is not genuine or something. Then the screen went black and won't go anywhere. How do i fix this/get my laptop to start.
BTW: I know the software is genuine, because the laptop has been working fine since i got it and it was working an hour ago.
Well, this window popped up saying "validate your software" and then took me to microsofts page and had me "validate it" so i did that, and am restarting it to see what happens.
We just did a system restore (completely) using a software reload disk, so it was like getting a new laptop, without getiing one. And i think the computer picked that up (from the disk) and got all "this is not real" on me.
