Do you think, having the member's join date on their profile after they post is a good idea?

You know, in the area where their Armatar is. Just below it.

Uhm, would that not be slightly irrelevant? What would the reason for that be? Some of the forum newbs have been a member for a year, some of the better users is new?

Well a simple click would get you the date you sought after. Though if you implement an extra line of text, the already small post in which the date, armater, rank, and post count is in would look well cramped. And all the coding for one line doesn't seem well worth it.

Besides as Cen said, what's the purpose?

Pardon the cliche reasons that people here so often use in the S&S Section.

How is it necessary? Is there something I'm missing?
Just click the username and you're going to get a date!

Almost every stand-alone forum I've went to has a Join Date next to the post. I just think it would be a bit more easy to look to the left than to click the member's name.

It would probably be right above the number of posts you have.

That might be, but would it be relevant in any way? Why would we want to be able to know the join date like that? I just cannot see the purpose of it other than being able to track down newbs (easier without anything), or brag about being an oldie...

That's a fallacy due to popularity. Just because it's widespread, doesn't mean it has to be implemented.

On the other hand, the question you must answer is this:

That might be, but would it be relevant in any way? Why would we want to be able to know the join date like that? I just cannot see the purpose of it other than being able to track down newbs (easier without anything), or brag about being an oldie...

I think it might be a better suggestion to allow a bit of space for customization over there. That way each person could choose what they wanted to put over there whether it's their join date, Ap, or merits etc.

I find it kind of limiting having only an about to set up so a small section for a sig like entity under the armatar would be cool.

The random quotes or cool artwork tends to liven threads up a bit.
