Alright, so I'm a total Harry Potter nerd (reading them for the 3rd time right now) and I was just wondering who everyones favorite characters are?
If you don't know Harry Potter is 7 books written by J.K. Rowling about a wizard named Harry Potter who was born amidst chaos due to a wizard named Lord Voldemort. Turns out, Lord Voldemort also went to kill Harry's parents when he was only a month old and was going to kill Harry as well, but somehow his curse turned back on him and Voldemort ended up dying instead. I'm going to stop there though, for two reasons #1 I don't want to sound like a total Harry Potter obsessive freak and #2 I don't want to reveal anything for people who are reading them.
So back to the original question, who is your favorite character and why?
J.K. Rowling is truly an amazing author, for all her characters have very nice personalities and back-stories.
I think I'll pick Luna Lovegood, everyone may think her strange, but she actually has a mature insight into life. Like Harry, she has seen death, which other people do not understand.

Ya, she is a pretty interesting character. I wonder why it has to be a human death to be able to see the horse things? (sorry don't remember the names, lol.) Because in Moody's class they all saw the rat die, yet Ron still couldn't see the horses in OotP
My favorite character would have to be Remus Lupin. He's very realistic and laid back, yet when push comes to shove he isn't afraid to stick up for what he believes in.
Hagrid was one of my favorite characters, he was right up there with Mad Eye Moody. I liked a lot of the creatures that Hagrid got mixed up with and he was always doing stuff for other people.
Mad Eye was basically the sickest bounty hunter around, and his magic eye was probably the coolest magical item in the series.
Snape. By far the most complex character in the series. Evil on the outlook, valiant on the interior. Loved the way Rowling spun his character history, especially with all the twists in the seventh book. Up till the seventh book I kept thinking well...he was just your plain old Death Eater. But the plot just steamrolled this idea....And with Harry naming his son Snape...well that was unexpected!
The way he was portrayed in the movies...it was awesome!
Snape!! He was another cool character, every book had me thinking he was evil and by the time the end rolled around he was usually cleared of all suspicion. Double agent FTW.
Up till the end I still had the notion that he double-crossed everyone. Classic case of evil turning back to the path of goodness. Pity he had to *censored* in the end. For fear of spoilers...

it seems pretty obvious what's covering that *censored* part...
