This is v1.2 of my original Build+Strategy For Hydraulic. I've fixed the mistakes, and cleaned up the spelling errors. Comment if this helps, if you see a mistake, or if you have a request for v1.3! Enjoy! Note: All tiers that aren't fully maxed can be upgraded. ex. Flash Freeze 3/4 (this really means 3/4 or higher)!
First, I must explain a Warm Hydraulic and a Cold Hydraulic. Cold Hydraulic: The Cold Hydraulic specializes in attacks that cast debuffs on the enemy. This Hydraulic is my personal favourite because if you gain high Vitality you can cast massive debuffs on the opponent forever. Stun, Blast, Freeze! Yeah, take that. The Cold Hydraulic is clearly an awesome Hydraulic that specializes in low damage, high defence, and if you have the right abilities the opponent will hardly be able to attack. They'll either be stunned, unable to use focus, or suffering from a "Damage Over Time" attack.
Warm Hydraulic: The Warm Hydraulic is made for battle. It deals high damage and has enormous defence. This type of Hydraulic specializes in mostly Strength based abilities. Although, along with the Strength and high defence they don't have very much healing abilities, so once your low on HP your done. This Hydraulic is favourited by a lot of people due to it's incredibly high damage.
These are the reccomended abilities for a Cold Hydraulic: Reccomended Abilities (Cold Hydro) # Name: #Ability: Tier: 1. Vapour Cannon X1 Starting 2. Flash Freeze X2 3/4 3. Mind Freeze X1 2/4 4. Regulate X1 3/3 5. Hypothermia X1 3/4 6. Shatter X1 3/4 7. Restore X1 3/3 Note:Restore can be replaced with Dead Man's Plea if needed. Those are the abilities reccomended for a Cold Hydraulic, these are the Passive, and Optional Abilities for the Cold Hydraulic. Optional Abilties (Cold) # Name: Tier: #Ability: 1. Mirage Any X1 2. Slam Starting X1 3. Guardian Form 3/4 X1 Now for the Passive Abilities Passive Abilities (Cold) Note: Passive Abilities do not appear on your Ability Cicle so yoou do not need an ability #. # Name: Tier: 1. Lasting Pain 2/4 2. Cold Neurology 2/4 Note: Only upgrade Cold Neurology over 2/4 if you have maxed out most of your Reccomended Abilities. That's it for the Cold Hydraulic, now for the Warm!
Passive Abilities: # Name: Tier: 1. Lasting Pain 2/4 2. Warm Neurology 2/4 Note: Only upgrade Warm Neurology more than 2/4 if you have high Vitality.
Well, that's it for both of the builds!
Conclusion:
Personnally, I think the Cold Hydraulic is better because (for me) the opponent can almost never hit me, and I just keep nailing him with Shatter which does like 50 000 damage. Although, for some people the Cold Hydraulic is to difficult to control, or they don't like the patience over 90% chance to win type of class. If you are that type of person then you would like the Warm Hydraulic because they are more like the finish off fast going to be gauranteed win over 70% of the time. I understand, some of my friends are like that. So if you are on of those people I understand how sometimes you just can't wait to beat the next opponent, and move on to your next foe. I undstand, and I respect your decision. Enjoy, and if it just happens that you didn't read the original version of this i'll put up the strategy for the Cold Hydraulic. Maybe in v1.3 i'll include some more builds and a strategy for each one! Note: If you want the description of each of the Cold Hydraulic's attacks read the original Awesome Build+Strategy For Hydraulic. Cold Strategy: Here's the order of the moves: Hypothermia, Flash Freeze, Mind Freeze, Flash Freeze, Shatter, Vapour Cannon, Hypothermia, Vapour Cannon, Flash Freeze, Vapour Cannon, Flash Freeze, Mind Freeze, Shatter. (Then Vapour+Restore untill all abilities availible after Vapour+Restore, repeat until opponent dead). Hope you liked it!
Shatter never does 50k except against the fire claws and maybe Holy Scar'd Baron. If I'm mistaken on this - and I could be, as I don't like and don't use Shatter - please explain how to achieve that damage.
Hypothermia isn't that great. Glacier is far better and is needed for Crystal Ice, which makes your damage a little better than godawful.
All your attacks should be maxed so they cost nothing and give the max benefit. I realize you say 3+/4, but just say 4/4 because it's terrible to run this stuff 3/4.
Dead Man's Plea > Restore.
You hate hot hydros too much. They have godly DPT, and they can always spec a bit into support skills (Ice Wall, Dead Man's Plea) to boost their survivability (which really isn't that bad to begin with).
There's some other stuff that I disagree with, but I want to sleep.
Well, he did say "like 50,000." So it's give or take. I agree with Kavesk about glacier and crystal ice, if you are going to use shatter.
Overall, it's pretty good imo. Pretty basic. I think cold hydro is really easy to build. Not too tricksy. I made sort of a 'warm' build; it's got skills from both sides of the class.
and then something to take up your last wheel spot and couple points. Regulate is nice, but it's actually not necessary, since most of your damage is coming from DOT's. Pretty much any attack/support will work.
Okay, i'm sorry thi guide is horrible. v1.3 will have a guide through the game, 4 builds for the Hydraulic, descroption of every attack for the Hydraulic and my attacks for the Hydraulic. It will also have a link to Sonny 2 and my other versions of Awesome Build+Strategy For Hydraulic. It will have a strategy for each build an a description of each build. The Gear Type Wanted section will explain what stats you want on your gear for what build. Trust me, it will be the ultimate Hydraulic Build. Once it's made the name will be GUIDEBUILD For Hydraulic v1.3
I am now working on my newest Topic! I'm including every class on Sonny 2, and each build I can find for the class. I will explain each class and each build for the class. Then I will explain the most used abilities for the build of a certain class (I'll probably start with Hydraulic since I know the most about them). Then I will explain a couple other abilities other people reccommended (you can reccomend some of your abilities and the class and the build on my profile). After I will give a section called Gear Stats. In Gear Stats I will explain what your gear's stats should be for what guild under the class i'm working on... Here the whole Guide will look like this.
[i]Here i'll explain the classes Then i'll choose a class (ex. Hydraulic). Then i'll explain the builds for that class. Then i'll explain the most used abilities for that build (this includes the most used Passive Abilities). Then i'll explain the Less Used abilities (you can post some of your abilities, and they may appear in this section.) Then i'll do that with all the other builds for the class and then i'll conclude the class. Then i'll do that all over with say Biological.
