Oh yea, I remember that I went to some graveyard in Oregon that had dead soldiers in it. I'm not sure if they were from the Civil War. I don't remember, I was only in 4th Grade when we went there .
I went to the Arlington National memorial. It was a clean and pristine place, with the graves of almost all the soldiers who served in National American wars. Each grave was a 1 foot by 2 feet by 3 feet white marble block with the soldier's name and ranking within the army. I thought the place looked beautiful, very very green with rows and rows of white marble gravestones, even in death, the soldiers seem unwavering and in attention.
There are some creepy graveyards in Europe, but there also very interesting to just look at the graves. Been to graveyards many times in my life, as have most people.
I have been to one. It was a war memorial cemetery for the people that died defending Singapore against the Japanese during WWII. Very serene...organised. But it was depressing...
