I just finished watching a documentary on Neo Nazi groups. The levels of ignorance and hypocrisy that these groups carry with them just makes me so angry, not to mention the disrespect of calling themselves Nazis in a country whose troops died fighting the Nazis. What are your oppinions on it and do you have any relevant stories to do with this topic?
I saw a similar documentary a while ago. Every year these Nazi's have a parade through this little village in proper WWII uniforms and flags and everything. But the policing that has to go on to "ensure their safety" is ridiculous. The walk around and thre are hundreds of policeman lning the streets to protect them. I don;t like violence but if they're gonna do a parade they should do it undertsanding the consequences of their actions.
The very tolerance of these neo Nazi groups is testament to how free and fair society is. I certainly do not agree with their ideology, but they have the right to believe whatever they choose.
The area it gets kind of hazy is the freedom of speech vs inciting racial hatred. If they want to have party meetings in their basement, then go ahead. if they try and expound the virtues of beating up Jews, non whites, homosexuals etc, onto others that's where I draw the line.
Another thing that gets me is that there are homeless people on the streets and tax money gets spent on paying cops to line the streets when these douche bags march. The reason I don't think what they say should be covered by freedom of speech is because they're trying to encourage others to infringe on other peoples rights.
I believe that yes, freedom of speach should include everyone. If not then the moment that we take away the rights of someone just because of their veiws, no matter how radical, then we become just as bad as any dictator. If we take away the freedom of speach from these people then we will just be repeating the past from people like Hitler who restricted the rights of jew just becuase they were jewish. Now I am not defending these Neo Nazi's and other radicals. I do agree what so ever with their ideas but I just don't think that we should take away their rights just for having these ideas.
I only think that the rights should be taken if people are abusing these rights to harm others and force the oppinions on others to the point where it makes them uncomfortable.

In America we are entitled to rights, but if it harms another human being, the rights can be overlooked.
You have to remember that just because the Neo Nazis are getting the most publicity, doesn't mean they are the only hate group. There are racist gangs everywhere of every race. Sometimes I'm scared to go to certain places because I feel I'm going to get shanked by some Mexican or African American gangster. In some places, they are worse than the Neo Nazis. Also, they are hated by mainstream KKK members just about as much as by rival gangs.
They were just an example. It's directed at all racial and religion motivated hate groups. But I know what you mean. The press don't want to touch minorities that form hate gangs because it's too volatile. They want something safe. It's like how with the neo nazis they target the White Power Skinheads. They are a minority in skinhead culture but they look scary so it's safe for the media to sell without looking like bigots.

And do these neo-nazi do? Do they commit crimes against inferior races? Do they force down their doctrines?
I just think they are stupid fa****s. I mean we are a free country now, they cant do that to Jews.
They are just parading. They haven't exactly done anything against Jews if you think in terms of physical harm. Vandalism of synagouges yes. But so far....

I had a slight inkling that homeless jobless people do not pay taxes. Nothing taxable on their persons.
Apart from that, those Neo-nazi are giving us legit Fascists a really bad rep.
Well, it's all relative really. I mean, it depends on if you call shooting up a primarily jewish day care centre an act of violence or physical harm. Or beating people to death.
I know homeless people don't pay tax. But the money should be used on things like helping those that fall through the cracks instead of protecting people like this. If they have something to say they should be willing to stand up for themselves for saying it.

Extremism is gradualised. Letting them get away with anti-Semitic vandalism will do no good in the long term. I would have thought we'd learn from the mistakes of Germany, not repeat them by tolerating this sort of behaviour.
By that standard, as long as no one is physically harmed people can do anything they wish?
It's easy to dismiss neo nazis as a minority, but they should be taken deadly seriously. The Nazis got 2.8% of the vote in 1929, yet roose to power, and well, you know the rest.
I hate "Hate Groups" so much I want to form some type of group that unites against these people and do the same thing to them that they do to others. Oh wait, it's this thread.

They haven't requested the protection. It was put there, not upon their request, but other peoples'. They do stand up for their believes. That's why they're marching. Guts.

That was because of severe depression back then. The Germans were angry with everyone, the French, the British, the Treaty. Drastic things require drastic measures. And it so happened that a charismatic little man with a facial disaster came along....
As for them coming back to power? Not a likely future prospect. The government has done such a good job of tarnishing the Nazi, not to mention moderate Fascists' images till the words Nazi and Fascsist are just synonyms for the phrase 'vicious bully' without any political connotations whatsoever.

Ah the irony. A 'hate all the hate groups' group. Won't that just end up contradicting itself? Unless you can find to hate an ideology peacefully and harmoniously.
Btw...if you find it funny someone would actually want to stand up for Fascsism...it's because I'm one...
