I used to hate on Rap a lot. Things have changed though. I actually listen to a lot of Rap. I only listen to people who know what the hell they are doing though, like Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie, Lil' Wayne, The Geto Boyz, Kanye West (even though I think he is an asshole),etc. Not people like Soulja Boy, who is a joke and disgrace to the genre. It's people like him that make people hate Rap. It would also help if people were more open minded. I listen to everything from Big Band to Opera. Yes, I said Opera, but that's just me. Even Country (Hank Williams Jr., Big & Rich, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood).
But, with that being said, Rock is my cup of tea. And I know it's between Metal and Rap, but Metal is a form of Rock. It's just an adrenaline rush that no other type of music can offer.
Oh yea it is! I've seen on youtube that 92% of all teenagers have switched to rap,hip-hop and pop. That's NOT true. Me and 1 of my friends turned one of our friends into a Metaler. He listened to Hip-Hop before that. Then he discovered Metal. Now he loves it! But not just that. Metal is the biggest music in the world! Rock and Metal. Metaltown in Gothenburg,Sweden. Anyone recognize it? Have anyone seen Raptown or Hip-hoptown? NO! And Rock N' Roll Cafe! There u go. Sweden Rock Festival! You see? It's more like 92% listens to rock and metal!
METAL!!! Rap is crap. It requires 0 talent and is just annoying. While Metal is just awesome! I'm more into older metal bands though. Not none of this new stuff, it's all boring and not really heavy.
