Planet X, Niburu, Wormwood, these are the names given to a so called planet found on the edge of our solar system. Mayan evidence suggests the end is nigh. But other sources suggest these theories are rediculous. I recommend you do a bit of research on this and then post your opinion

Looks like another end of the world theory to me, trust me, we will live to see 2013.

I think that December 22nd of 2012 is going to be the most awesome day of the year... The day when all these people get laughed at for thinking the world's gonna end because they believed something vague about the Mayans, a civilization that not only thought that tearing hearts out of people would please the gods, but don't exist anymore. They went away ages ago. I highly doubt they had time to predict everything for the next forever on a calender.

People are just misinterpreting it.
The mayans had different eras, and each time and era ended, it can be interpreted as a new world starting.
Simply because the calender ends, well, it is just a new era beginning.

Like Cenere said.

The idea is that when the planet gets in that close, it throws the Earth's orbit off, changing the length of a year by a bit, and requires a new calendar to be constructed.
