Hotkeys, are shortcuts for things. Instead of mousing over and clicking on your name to go to your profile, I think it would be easier if you had a hotkey for your profile, when your not typing anything and you press this hotkey, it takes you to your profile, and this could be used with the Action games, or the big Armor Games sign, or the Community link, or the Help link, from anywhere on the page, hotkeys can be used.
Say your mouse breaks, and you can't mouse over to the community, press C, or some other type of shift + key.
This might take a while to put into action, but I think it would help alot, make things go alot faster to.
...Would this also work while you're typing something? I hope not. That would be hell for us paragraph typers, or anyone that uses capital letters.
You could always take a trip down to the days before the PC mouse and press TAB 'till the link to your profile appears in the link name down at the bottom ;-)

Suppose the hotkey for a profile is the number '1'. If I type that in the comments box, I'll be magically whisked to my profile. That will just about happen for every single pressable button on our keyboards.
Plus, most people wouldn't really care. What's a milli-second difference? A mouse i much more convinient...
Unless you use a laptop without mouses whereby it's a different story... But then the main flaw I can see apart from cliche answers of 'Too hard to code', is that an unintentional movement could post infuriating and irksome results.
Well, in Yahoo mailbox there is working hotkeys. I think it is alt+something, so it will not magically activate in the middle of a mail.
Yes, just realised that, since I never use hotkeys whilst utilising mail.

If your mouse breaks...well it's best to get it fixed...unless you have urgent AG matters to deal with. It's a very specific case that won't happen very often. Is it worth the trouble in the first place?

That's what I'm talking about! Bad thing!
Alt+ anything is... well, just make sure it doesn't interfere with symbols. It is better than just numbers or letters.
I believe that is because the Yahoo mailbox is not based on HTML. Armorgames is. And thus I don't think you could do keyboard shortcuts on a HTML based website. The site would have to be turned to Java script or ColdFusion (Don't know what it is) to work that way, and that is much harder to maintain than HTML.
Hey, you could all just do this(at least in Windows):
Go to the page you want hotkeyed, add it as a Favourite. Go into your Favourites list, right click on the pagem, go to "Properties" and change the Shortcut option to whatever you want.
Ta-dah! Then the page is just a quick moment away.

They should give you a medal, Devy. But it is a good idea, seeing as I don't see this idea being implemented any time.
Yes...but is the computer or the site for the matter, able to distinguish when you are actually typing out a post or comment, or just a hotkeying back to an area?

As I said before, I am sure that Hotkeys cannot be implemented into a HTML based website. I mean, when you go on any normal website, do you ever see the possibility of using shortcuts? No, and the reason is because they can't because they are HTML sites. I bet loads of site builders would love this idea, but because they depend on HTML for site building, it isn't possible. There you go.

Tried HTML myself before. So far I haven't heard about button short cuts via the keyboard.
It would be chaos for people typing posts and comments. If shift is used then people would have troble typing anything up or playing games without changing the page. I am against hot keys for the above reasons.
