They complain and whine about big government yet they will easily bow down to their corporate overlords. They think that capitalism is one big perfect form of life, where if you want an ambulance, you need to pay a service fee.
And then there's homophobic creationist Ron "This Nation cannot survive without God" Paul. Not to mention his fan base, those cronies with their repetitive whining and sensationalism. "I am an open minded person, now agree with me or you're an ignorant redneck." and "All of our problems are caused by a huge conspiracy run by evil Jew Corporations, EVERYTHING YOU DO IS BEING RECORDED"
I left the Libertarian party because of their corporate platform. I'm a left-libertarian. I hate corporations, believe in property, healthcare, and education for all but I also believe in a true free market. By free market, I mean NO government control (aka no corporations).
No regulations = Huge corporations doing whateva they want
Corporations get their power from government. Govt bails corporations out, funds them, and pays for salaries. Once govt stops interfering, corporations fall.
Adam Smith, the first theorist of Capitalism, warned against corporations. He knew that government interference caused corporate power and massive inequalities.
Engels will skin you! You didn't give your ability, and you took more than you need! Commandant Alt will skin you!
And Lenin will eat you, whereby Stalin will pick his teeth with your bones. Seems like this thread is turning into a 'coporations and therefore capitalism'is bad thread.

Pure capitalism goes by the 'survival of the fittest' mantra. Smaller companies evevntually fail due to economies of scale, and we are eventually left with one massive company that holds monopolies in every market. Not saying that would happen if things were deregulated, but one advantage of regulation is to prevent monopolies from forming.
The real problem is with the political system, not the financial. If the major parties weren't so reliant on donations from these corporations, they wouldn't need their donations, and thus wouldn't owe them any favours.
I am as republican as you can get (WAY WAY WAY right) but I must say the Libertarian Party is not so bad it sounds good actualy if you look at the core of it. even regan's son is one
