It has toned down slightly. Plus governments everywhere are trying to calm their panicked citizens that everything is under control. Even Ban Ki Moon said that...
Which is utter Tosh. The flu has spread more deeply into Asia. Malaysia got it's first case a few days back.
Oh, the media... always riling up the exaggerated stories to throw the public into a panic. MANY DIE FROM THE REGULAR FLU EVERY YEAR! A.I.D.S. is much more serious, effective, and deadlier than this flu we are dealing with right now, yet it hasn't gotten 1/25 of the attention. Way to go.
So yeah, I'm glad that things have settled down; now I don't have to hold the mute button down every 2 minutes while watching the news.
well it died down as flu suppressant medication is shipped and now they have an inkling of preventing the deaths, it isn't such a big problem anymore. Infant diarrhea kills more people than H1N1 (influenza A).
It died down because it wasnt deadly just the regular flu.
It is only deadly if you have a bad immune system or bad health care We have medicines that help against it and noone cares any more because they most likely wont die from it
this really doesn't surprise me.. the media is a pice of shi.t in my oppinion. most of them just show the news that will keep the audience interested, boost their ratings, and help put money in their pockets. they will not show anything of importance. the main reason i think that we dont hear about the flu anymore is because the media did one of those "that is so yesterday news" thing on the public so they moved on to something else...
The media takes a story and runs with it. Than they find something more interesting, and forget all about their last subject.
H1N1 is more virulent than ever, its claiming ever more fatalities, and the death count in the US is in the double digits. You'd never know if you only read the newspaper.
