I play Alto Saxophone (I'd play any sax actually), starting to learn Piano, and playing some Bass and Guitar. To me, learning how to play Bass/Guitar is hard. I have trouble remembering which fret is what note, and I just plain suck lol.
I play the electric bass guitar. Punisment on your finger though, it's either cutting your fingers with electric guitar or bludgeoning them with the thick bass strings.
I play acoustic and electric guitar. I learned on the acoustic, and considering as it's harder, the electric's easy to me now. First while playing it, man, my fingers hurt to bad... at one point I went too far finger-picking as a newbie and made them bleed a little. But of course it's been some years since I started playing, so I'm much more experienced and less stupid. Guitar really isn't that hard once you get the hang of it. I've got all the note position, frets, and stuff down to memory. Right now I'm practicing making my own solos with certain scales...
But anyway, hardest instrument... I'm not really sure. I've heard the flute is sorta hard, and brass instruments like the French horn seem difficult to me. I used to play trombone.
me and my cousin have been debating on which instrument's harder to play, the guitar or the piano, i think its the guitar, because you need serious punishment before playing, what do you think?
The cello is actually not that hard to learn, though you do need to keep track of a lot of things... Exact finger placement, pressure, bow strokes, etc. etc....
I used to play cello, now all I have is a keyboard.
Of all I've tried, trumpets and other brass instruments of that groups seems to be the hardest to learn, but that may just be my blowing skills that sucks - err, that sounds odd... You get the point.

Maybe you need to practice...
I play the alto saxophone...this year being my sixth year of it. I can also play the piano a little bit (can't do much left hand) and I can play a little on the guitar and bass quitar.
I am doing a grade five AMEB Alto Sax Exam this year.
I play trumpet, and I'm good at it, too. I've been playing for four years! For me, the piano is hardest to learn, what with all the coordination it takes to play with both your hands. I kinda suck at playing with both my hands :P
I started on piano and have been playing for seven years now... wow. I'm a little out of practice as I mostly stick with violin at the moment. Which I have been playing for five years. My parents (both musical, my father is a superb pianist... It's scary) thought it best to start with piano, as it is considered the 'basic' instrument. I think that makes sense. It was a lot easier to learn violin knowing what I do from piano. Like Zophia said, string instruments are tricky, because there are so many things to pay attention to. But for some reason, I like playing violin better than piano.
