This thread is to see what band you would enjoy the most. Rules: Just choose a guitarist, drummer, vocals (Optional), and bass (You can choose other instruments if you like) that you like a lot and arrange them to make your dream band (Note: Remember to mention what band they belong really.). Here's mine:
Lead Guitar: John Pettrucci (Dream Theater) Rythm Guitar: Joe Satriani (Solo) Vocals: Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) Backup Vocals: The Rest of the band. Drums: Neil Peart (Rush) Bass: Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) Keyboard: Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater)
Lead Guitar: Jimi Hendrix Rythm Guitar: Krist Novoselic (Nirvana) Vocals: Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) Backup Vocals: Chester (Linkin Park) Drums: Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters/Nirvana) Bass: Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) Keyboard: Jon Lord (Deep purple)
Lead Guitar: Jimi Hendrix (Jimi Hendrix Experience) Just because he is amazingly good and so cool
Rhythm Guitar: Pete Townshend (The Who) Great chords and he can hold the song together well (and he can help write songs)
Vocals: Marc Bolan (Marc Bolan and T-Rex) Great image and kinda weird but has a good voice
Backup Vocals: Jim Morrison (The Doors) very different style to Bolan
Drums: Keith Moon (The Who) the best drummer ever (not the best at drumming but just archetypal in the role) and so entertaining plus, as an added bonus, he can pay very well.
Bass: John Entwistle (The Who (can you see a patter)) my favourite bassist an absolute rock, or an Ox, and brilliantly fast and technically great.
Lyriclist: Noel Gallagher (Oasis) wonderwall, live forever need I say more. And as I said Pete Townshend can help
Lead Guitar: Jimmy Page (Led Zepplin) Rythem Guitar: Carlos Santana (Santana) Drums: Ian Pace (Deep Purple) Vocals:Freddy Mercury (Queen) Bass: Geddy Lee (Rush)
I'm going for a sort of Progressive Death Metal/Technical Death Metal band
Lead Guitar: Jari Maenpaa (Wintersun) Rhytm Guitar: Jeff Loomis (Nevermore/Solo) Death Vocals + Clean Backup: Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) Clean Vocals + Death Backup: Christian Alvestam (Scar Symmetry) Drums: Tomas Haake (Meshuggah) Bass: Sean Malone (Cynic) Keyboard: Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater)
Drums: The Rev(Avenged Sevenfold) Vocals: Rody Walker(Protest the Hero) Lead: Kirk Hammett(Metallica) Rhythm: Sam Totman(Dragonforce) Bass: Ivan Munguia(Brain Drill)
This is truly the best band ever, don't believe look em up. For Rody Walker look up Sequoia Throne on YouTube.
Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar: Neil Young (Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Buffalo Springfield) Lead Guitar: Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd) Bass: Jon Entwistle (The Who) Drums: Charlie Watts (The Rolling Stones) Keyboards and Piano: Glenn Frey (Eagles)
No Led Zep in my Dream Band, mainly because I feel they could only make such amazing music as Led Zeppelin!
Scratch what I said in my last post about Led Zep. 'cuz I just got another idea!
Lead Vocals: Paul Rodgers (Free, Bad Company) Guitar: Eric Clapton (Cream, Blind Faith) Bass: John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) Drums: Frank Beard (ZZ Top)
Lead Guitar: Jimi Hendrix (The Jimi Hendrix Experience) Rythm Guitar: Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) Bass: Geddy Lee (Rush) Drums: Keith Moon (The Who) Vocals: Roger Daltrey (The Who)
Eclectic Rock band: Lead Vocals: Jim Morrison, doors. Great vocalist. Backup Vocals: Mikael Akerfeldt, Opeth. Amazing voice, great range and talent. Lead Guitar: Carlos Santana. Nuff said. Rhythm Guitar: Eric Clapton. Nuff said. Drums: Kieth Moon. Nuff said. Bass: Matt Maust (Cold War Kids) I love his bass work. Eric Judy from Modest mouse would be another good choice. Keyboards: Rick Wakeman from Yes. Best f**king keyboardist ever.
