I have been struggling to understand what might be the best way to equip Felicity.
The question I'm concerned about most, is that when you take in to account a character like Felicity, she is in essence a Bio Speed build character. Therefore the answers here should apply to either how to properly equip Felicity or a Bio Speed build character.
The main concern I'd like to address is what is more important to Felicity /Bio speed build char: Is it Speed, or Physical Piercing? And also does Str play a part with Felicity at all or not.
What trumps what? Does more speed trump Physical Piercing, or does more Physical Piercing trump speed? And how can someone easily gauge this? Also if Str is thrown in to the mix (as you'll see below), how do you then gauge what trumps what.
Examples of conflicts in Equipment: 1) For Weapons: - Crimson Blade (Primary): Speed +21, Physical Piercing +105 - Azure Shredder (Secondary): Speed 83, Pysical Piercing +42 (Combined total of 104 Speed, and 147 Physical Pericing. ) *vs* -Death Sentence 2Hander primary: Speed 66, Str 152.
Now I don't know if Strength comes in to play at all, into Felicity's attacks. If so Death Sentence may be the better weapon.. but is it worth losing all that Physical piercing over? If you put on Death Sentence, you lose +38 Speed and 147 Physical Piercing, but gain 152 Str.
Another example applies just to Zone 5 and first few bosses before The Bomb in Zone 6. ..
Boots: -Corvette Boots: +48 Speed, +10 str, +7 Vit vs -Black Ops Boots: +14 Speed, +8 Str, +31 Physical piercing
So again, what trumps what.. +31 Physical Physical Piercing, vs +34 Speed. Which trumps which.. and when would one overtake the other?
Last Example: Same scenario (Zone 5 gear with Zone 6 up to The bomb.
Gloves: Royal Grips: +21 Speed, +23 Strength, +8 Vit. vs Flex o-Matic: +12 Speed, +6 Str, +37 Physical Piercing. So that's +37 Physical Piercing vs +9 Speed. But in this case it brings back the question of if Strength has an impact with Felicity or not. ie: gaining +29 Str with thet Physical piercing.
A lot to analyze I know.. But would love to know more about how Felicity works and how to proerply gear her up.
Piercing is about how often you will crit and how much extra damage done. It has not effect on Dot which Planned Assault is based on nor does it have an effect on Blade Dance (based on speed). The Physical Piercing gained will not offset the amount of Strength and Speed lost. Hence, physical piercing is not much of a benefit here.
She's best with strength. She will do 1200 damage each turn at level 30 (if I remember...) if you focus on strength equipment. The only skills she uses speed for is blade dance, which is useless even with full speed equipment, and slash. I forget if she ever uses that speed-increasing buff, but even if she did, you'll get more damage (and vitality) by choosing strength stuff.
