No, that is ridiculous. You mess up in a plane, you go doun. You mess up in a car, 7 people go down. You mess up in a plane, you have 3,000 feet to catch yourself You mess up in a car well... Your engine fails in a plane, you glide to earth. Your engine fails on earth you crash. Anybody can get a licence, but a pilot's licence takes hours of flight time. In a car, there is no control tower...
The point is that is ME, who drive a car, and most probably, I will be the one in control of my car. I think that when you're in a plane what you're afraid is the fact that you're not in control. So it feels "safer" to be in a car and "unsafer" to be in a plane.
if a car crashes there is a better chance of living. if a plane crashes you have a better chance of dying. but cars crash more. so its even
Don't forget how much more common it is for a car to be hijacked than a plane. And if some event were to happen on land while a driver was peacefully driving, let's just say that won't really affect the people in the nice, safe plane.
On the other hand, skydiving from a car is a lot safer. And you can do it without a parachute and still survive.

It depends in what kind of sense of dangerous your talking about because I'm pretty sure a hell of a lot more people die from car accidents then plane crashes(which don't even happen that often).
i don't know what this means but everytime a plane crashes it is on the news but there are car crashes everyday... i don't know what that means but it seems like a good point :/

If a plane goes over water, nothing happens. If a car goes over water, oh wait, they don't, you died. If there is an earthquake and you are flying in an airplane, all is fine, but if you are in a car during an eathquake, you might be dead.

Ok, if someone hijacked your car and decided to crash into an oil truck which happens to be near a tall building and the oil tank sets off a chain reaction because there are gas stations nearby, that could close to 9/11 right?, but what i'm trying to say is, that rarely happens
planes aren't more dangerous than cars, there are far more foolish drivers than foolish pilots.
P.S. the pilots of the planes which were hijacked during 9/11 were warned to lock their cabins, but they didn't so they got hijacked, what are the chances of something like 9/11 happening again in this day and age, it seems like a 1 time thing
Planes are inspected often and are made sure that they're in a spic and span situation before they take off for their route. When you have a car, the last "inspection" type thing you had was when you had a tune-up last month.
Planes are also designed to be able to land if the engines stall or there is some form of problem. There are also emergency procedures. In cars, there really isn't. Just an airbag to catch you.
