I would've liked the name better if it was Tomachu, but it's still ingenious! Yes, truly ingenious! The humorous design is as well. A face would be good to add to it. A faceless Tomato with a tail and two yellow/black ears is slightly creepy for my liking. A face would make it very cuter. Or maybe a better word is kiddish. Even though this was obviously made in paint, it's a great entry, like I've said a few times. It sort-of fits the theme... But they don't look like Pokemon THAT much. I mean, they're cool! But they don't look like Pokemon. Maybe you need to add something else to Cornster. Stripes? Ears? Rings here and there? I have to be honest with you though, Kittensalad looks like a Pokemon, but Corster doesn't really though. Almost 2nd place!

I thought of this, actually, but the five 'faces' I drew didn't make the final cut. I prefer the silent type, though, makes it more eerie, I think.

If we had muscular men, everyone would just draw Machamp/Machoke XD. And fruits is too similar, I think, since the classification of many fruit/vegetables is somewhat...blurred =O
Clever theme, I'll have to think about this a bit, as the first thing that jumped to my mind was a Transformer-looking Fakemon....which wouldn't be very creative, I don't think.
