are mods able to delete treads permanently and not just lock it? I am guessing you can, so why don't we delete like a ton of the junk threads and clean up around here? like delete everything except for a few good threads... I don't know.. just thinking..
Because people would ask where the threads went, why they are loosing a lot of AP and so on. It gets done once in a while, but usually it is just locking and leaving it. And stop bumping your threads, people reply, when they reply.
sorry.. it does not appear in the quick click in the main community place unless you add another post... so you lose AP when your posts in a thread is deleted?? wow..
If you delete a comment, the 2 ap you gain by commenting is lost. If a post is deleted, the 1 ap you gain by posting is lost. I figure if your merit get deleted, you will loose 25 ap and so forth. So yes, if an entire thread is deleted, the AP from posts get deleted as well. Once suggested to delete old spam (because there is a good lot), and lock old threads to clean out, seemingly not a good idea either.
Well, not really important either, I figure it is why they have not done so yet. It would be nice if spam actually was deleted (as in old spam, as well as new), instead of locking a spammed thread. But since people do not care about the threads at all, and just think of the AP, it would be a nice lesson. On the other hand, there seem to be little to no good topics anymore.
