There are different kinds of cookies which we obtain from sites. There are friendly cookies that helps you stay logged on, there are cookies which helps download files in the site fast. But one thing I really get annoyed is advertising cookies. I know I made this shoutout before but now I'm starting to think ArmorGames is becoming a mess (sorry for saying)...

I used to remember this site as a clean and reliable site which does not secretly send you anything to your computer but good gaming and maybe a couple of files to help you log in or stuff, but now I'm thinking this site is devolving into a monster sender. Just today I already received around 20 tracking cookies from this site going back and forth, back and forth. I'm getting annoyed with it (no harsh saying whatsoever)...

I just hope you guys can stop it somehow. I don't mind this site showing advertisements, but sending this much tracking cookies to the computer seems somewhat not neccessary... i don't believe these have anything to do with the site and is just something used for advertisers to keep track of computers or something alike.

Anyways, I think it'd do me good if you tell me what are they for, because I doubt that they're related to this site.

If you won't believe me, this time I printscreen the results of the cookies I found...

note that i don't experience this on any other flash games website

This is how much tracking cookies I get per min of AG, around 3 links to transfer on AG:

Note 2-3 pops out every link transfer on AG...

This is how much cookies i get per day:

with this you can see how much cookies I'd have to remove or leave as dead weight for my drive...

I just hope you guys can do something about it...it's REALLY bugging me..thanks for your concern, that's what I love about AG, you guys are really cool...

You're using an AVG virus scanner? Never had that before. Is there any way to filter any cookies
that you want from ones that you don't? I see a good number of those yieldmanagers, which are
definitely advertising cookies that have no purpose here.

While we all know that ads help pay for the site indirectly, can it just be flash ads and
picture ads? Why must we have ads that, once you link to a profile, halt your progress and have
you look at the ad before you go any further? These leave behind cookies, that show that you
have been to that site, and that's probably what WhackWeeper is seeing right now.

exactly what Shintetsu is saying. These cookies can slow down the computer. It's best if these advertisements were silent like other sites which may show you the advertisement, but not send you any files whatsoever, or probably would, but not as many cookies as this. I just think they're not necessary, and they don't do good with any of us. They may be for advertisers, but it's best if these cookies would atleast be minimized to like once per log in. It really discourages me on logging in...

Yea, so I noticed that whenever you click a link or something in AG, it reroutes it through some adware site. And that is where you get all the lagtastic cookies.

I have a good idea for your cookie problem, this will also work for history. Download Google chrome-
http://www.google.com/chrome
and when you open it up read the starting stuff if you want but after that don't visit AG, instead go incognito(Ctrl + Shift + N) and you will never have cookie problems again!!!

Ok, i have made an alternative solution(sorry for double post)
and you still get to use firefox!
First, open firefox.
Go to Tools, in the drop down menu, click options.
Then go to the privacy tab.
Then in the cookies section(middle) Change the last thing in cookies
Keep until :
Then change it too when i close firefox

Your done! You will just have to close firfox every 30 minutes or so... i just learned this by myself BTW...

this is actually a good idea... if you want to delete the cookies. It still wont solve the residential shield though, it will still tell you that you've downloaded a tracking cookies as seen on 1st comment, 1st picture. It will pop up as soon as downloaded (please no comment on turning off AVG, it saved my butt on countless virus downloads many times)..

but it is still a great idea so i don't need to use AVG to delete them... thanks....

That's incredibly terrible. You have a problemo...

Mad's idea is ok, but probably won't help in the long run.

That means if you're a gamer your data will be lost. The cookies are mainly used for game data, so be careful!

Actually it does, just not a good idea if you want to save game data.

Here's another idea:

Go to Firefox

Click preferences

click on the Privacy panel

A button says Exceptions in the cookies part: click on it

Type in the full Armorgames site address and 'Allow' so that all Armorgames cookies will be accepted. I think it then blocks cookies on Armorgames that aren't from Armorgames.

Seriously too much cookies?!?! try to tell that to the cookiemonster!

Anotherthing you could do is go to sesamestreet and hire cookiemonster to eat every cookie you get while your online.
Its a great solution the only downside on it is thats its pretty ackward to turn on your webcam while cookiemonster is sitting next to you.....
