I would like to know where in the Bible does it say that homosexuality is a sin. Not that it would matter to me, because i do not believe in a God, but I don't think the bible teaches that homosexuality is wrong.

To human standards obviously not, but to the God that I believe in yes they are, God's perfect he can't be around sin so any thing even taking someones pin makes it do we can't be with him.

So wait, I just r*ped your sister, and I would get the same amount of punishment if all I did was break someones window?

I believe that people are born gay if they are gay. Do you really think that people choose to be gay after they see the ridicule many gays have to go through? If God was against gays, he wouldn't have created them.

Most Christians don't realize that:
1. Jesus says nothing about same-sex behavior.
2. The Jewish prophets are silent about homosexuality.
3. Only six or seven of the Bible's one million verses refer to same-sex behavior in any way -- and none of these verses refer to homosexual orientation as it's understood today.

The Bible mentions homosexuality six or seven time, yet mentions helping the poor over 300 times. Christians should get their priorities in order.

the only one I ever found in all my catholic schooling was in the book of Leviticus. But it says nothing about Lesbians. But that same book also says if you jack off and then get on a boat before cleaning yourself then everybody on that boat is therefore also unclean. Same with seats and stuff. Which means if you're wanting to be good to get into heaven it's probably too late. Think about how many people there are in public. YOu've probably sat on a seat with somebody who has masterbated afer washing. Point is, think for yourself. The bible is contradictory. etc etc.

The fact that I read it in the book of leviticus begs to differ.

Leviticus seems to be a common discussion point, so I believe I'm also at liberty to point out that the book of Leviticus also prescribes guidelines of the ceremonial cleanliness and mandatory social isolation that women having their period must undergo. In fact all up they ended up spending a fortnight per cycle out of contact with other people.

In short you'll have to do better than that.

As for people who don't get the whole "all sin is equal" concept, you indirectly claim to be licensed to pass judgement on other people. You're not. Are you trying to claim that you can grasp God's infinite wisdom with your own limited knowledge?

I'm not against homosexuals at all. I'm just saying the fact is it's in the bible. I don't have to do any better because it's in the book of leviticus which is in the bible.

The Bible itself doesn't rule it out, but the people who wrote the religious laws pretend it does. That's why we always think it's against the bible.

GAGAMEN, try to remain on topic. The topic is about what the Bible says about homosexuality. On this thread we don't care what you think.

And Xavier, my point still stands. It may "be in the Bible" but that doesn't mean it's in the Bible, if you know what I mean.

If you don't, I mean I'm not one to believe it's cut and dried.

Ya lost me coach. Is not the entire book the word of god? I certainly don't subscribe to it, but how as a religious person can you pick and choose which rules to follow? Which ones *are* cut & dry and which ones aren't? It's not as though those passages are open to interpretation.

There are also many who take the bible literally. It can't be dismissed either as 'just from the old testament', as there are passages in the new testament which specifically instruct *not* to ignore the old testament.

The bible is pretty clear about homosexuality.

Not to offend, and I'm not religious, to put it in a way that younger viewers understand

Remember children its Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve

that is where in the bible it says homosexuality is wrong, look I dont judge but come on without sex between a man and a woman you wouldn't be on this Earth

Two dads cant create a baby, two moms cant create a baby, they can adopt but it doesnt come with the satisfaction or pride of "Hey look I made that" *points at child*

So if your homosexual I cant change you and your beliefs cant change me, but its time to wake up, grow up, and (just for lolz) straighten up.

two moms cant create a baby

Note: Actually possibly. The opposite is possibly as well, just slightly harder.

Remember children: Some animal and insect species ignore males.

either way without genetically changing its impossible, and Im talking about humans, humans can not reproduce a-sexually or homosexually, without mutations, or medical interference, reptiles and amphibians can, they can change sexes so therefore not homosexual
