Look guys, I know everyone likes to put special features into games that you only get at the main site that got the game. Under most circumstances its fine. But please don't put anything into an incredibly long game that they won't realize they need to play on the other site for until 10 hours into the game. Especially if there isn't a save/load system that works across websites.
Its so freaking irritating to play a game for 5 hours and be told that your princess is in another castle, which is only accessible at Armorgames, and you'll have to repeat the last 5 hours of your life there to get it.
At least put a warning in the intro "More content available at ArmorGames or something."
Promoting the site is one thing, and thats all well and good, but please don't do it in ways that inconvenience and irritate the player, as if to punish them for playing games on other sites.
hmm thats the decision of the game developer in my opinion. I have two suggestions. 1) you play the game on AG to begin with and you wouldn't have to worry about it, or 2) Complain directly to the people who develop the games. If that is AG itself then use the [url=http://armorgames.com/contact] Contact[/url page on the site.
Moved to the S&S section because it falls under the suggestions part.
I agree, there should be such a warning/label on longer games where more content is available in other places. Like a flashing of a screen saying "full version only playable at _______" or something.
That aside, it's mostly a game developer's choice. You might achieve more by simply emailing them, so they'll know for future games that people would like that, or so that they may even do a patch for the game in question to add it in.
First of all, how many game developers do you think are going to read this? Very little. Making a thread about it doesn't really help, it's just you stating 'I find this very annoying and wish game devs would change it'.
Well, on armor games, the Robokill Trainer isn't the same game as the one on Rock Solid Arcade, hence the "Trainer" part. They specifically made a demo version for other websites, but made sure they didn't give out the real version.
I think this is a good idea. Warlords Heroes really pissed me off because, I remember quite clearly, that you could play the gladiator mode before you finished the game, but after, it said that that mode was only exclusive to blah blah blah.
For a second here, I thought you were talking about how to get past Super Karoshi's shameless self promotion level.
