No, that's the correct line, he is just commenting on the oddity of the line in the first place. It really makes no sense, because cream really has no property that could be transitive to being awesome at fighting. Like you could say he's the lobster of the fight and it would make more sense. Because lobster is the considered a higher tiered food, and this could be comparative of being a high tiered fighter.
