This topic will be about peace. I think peace is a good idea, and it would be great, but i just don't like it when people that constantly advertise peace on t-shirts or bags, etc. because i just want them to tell me, how are we going to accomplish it?
Unfortunatley, peace is gettiing farther and farther away every single day. Just look at Iran with their test firing. Peace wont last long in these days. There is but only two sides....the world and christians.

The hippies talk-the-talk but they don't walk-the-walk. They say "Oh yes peace! No more wars!" but what they don't say is how they want to accomplish it. Hypocrites...
Peace will never happen. It is simply not possible with human qualities-greed, desire for control, and blood lust/insanity(For some, at least).

Anyway, It can be accomplished. But it would take a new dictator to rise up and take the world and then hold his grip on it for several generations. But that isn't really worth it. Or if you look at it purely on a gloabl sense then I suppose if there are other species on other planets tat equal us in intelligence then when space travel is common we might be under the banner of earth. But even then we'd just be waring with other planets. It's human nature to force your power over weaker beings and so force is the only thing that would ever bring peace. And like I said, it's not really worth it.

Really? Then.. what would you call the political state of affairs between Canada & the U.S.A.? Or.. The United Kingdom & all of the other countries in the E.U.?
As to the OP, yeah.. I'm with you on that. Some douche thinks that after taking 1 year of psych classes in some community college that they can fix the world by playing music, wearing T-shirts and buying merchandise. It's irritating.
Peace... is impossible. Nor should it happen. Few thing truly come out of peace, while many things come out of war. Good and bad things, of course, but with peace, the world will cease to advance in very important areas. Technology's such as space flight or computers would be at odds with peace, because with peace there is no need for military's and that means nobody to send to there likely deaths on a trip to mars.
I don't see a problem with advertising it, I mean it's just showing that this person supports it. Just like some people support war. I don't think that there can be world peace with so much competition in the world. I mean the only reason that there are separate countries are so that people can run things their own way, yet human nature makes it so that we want to control things outside of our designated area anyway.

I don't think that's realistic. There is a whole world full of science, and medicine, and exploration that depends on the advancement of technology, and people will continue to study & learn new things, come up with new ideas, and reach for (and in some cases quite literally) the stars with their goals and dreams. Just because there isn't a war going on does not mean that people will just close up shop and stop trying.
Peace is a nice thing, but is impossible to accomplish it all over the world, this is just utopian.
I don't think it's impossible. It may be a very long way off, but it doesn't mean it will never happen.
