A LOT of people call CoD WaW, Call of Duty 5? Why? It cannot be Call of Duty 5, because it is not a sequel to the main series, and WaW came out, what, about a year after Call of Duty 4? Another thing; Where in the title do you see the number 5?
people call it that because it is the fifth game in the series, not necessarily in chronological order, but because it is the fifth installment. i sometimes call it cod 5 because cod waw when not made into an acronym is very long to write out.
I don't think that's really much of a problem... Like DDX and valkyrie said, it's just cause of when it was released. I call it that too, but not that often. I usually say something like codwow.

Why does it matter what we call the game? People will understand what we are saying automatically if they have played the game. I personally call it Nazi CoD because I mainly like it for Nazi Zombies.
Call of Duty: World at War, even though it doesnt say Call of Duty: 5 on the box, it still is the 5th game of the COD series... and why make a big deal about the name when we can talk about the GAME??!?!! what's your favorite weapon people?? I like the grewerh with a suppressor and im going to try out the tompson with a round drum and double tap, my friend does it and man it murders!! its also pretty accurite with hit fire so you can shoot close range, and with steady aim it is amazing shooting at close range!
