Yes, thank you, it's been a while since I heard that word.
Anyway, another thing I want to play is the guitar. My friend showed me a little bit and I can play basic notes. I don't exactly know a lot but he told me I was a fast learner.
I used to play the violin when I was younger but I play the drums now and have been doing so for three, nearly four years now. I will hopefully be learning to play the guitar soon aswell which should be interesting.
I'm going to start taking guitar lessons next week...starting with acoustic for the next three months, then switching to electric. Any tips?
Well. if you're just now starting to take lessons and you have never played the guitar before....
1. Prepare for major a calice build-up. It will look nasty at first, but your fingers will eventually get used to the indentations. 2. Practice barre chords everyday. You need to build up the strength in your fingers so you can play any chord. Here is a strength building exercise; Put your index finger over all of the strings and hold it there for as long as you possibly can. It will hurt, but it will be worth it. 3. The only real way to learn chords is to learn songs. I suggest going to this site. If you don't know some of the chords, scroll over the chords in the song. A diagram of that chord should pop up. 4. Learn how to read chord diagrams and tablatures. 5. Have fun.
