I had a mind-blowing idea.

Instead of making new threads every time I make something new in photoshop, I'll just post it here. Pretty clever eh?

Here's one I made awhile ago while messing around with a new brush set I downloaded.

As you can tell, I was obsessed with the brush set and the glow tool. xD

How do they look? ^^

Hmm, that looks to me like a vine or flower brush.

Also what looks to me is that there is only one layer to this graphic. Layering more and more images
and brushes unto one another is what gives the graphic it's superior qualities. Of course, they
have to match, can't just put random ones together.

Here, look at this one: It's an example of multi-layering.

Base color is bottom layer, glass fragments is the middle, and the light is the final layer,
which is on the top. Blending the lighting to match the color refines it, too.

Thanks for the tips. I actually used a few layers for the armatar, but that was pretty much just to keep certain brushes behind each other. I was trying a very flat style, hopefully leading up to some advancedvectoring.

You're right though, using multiple layers to your own advantage can help alot if used correctly.

Thanks. ^^ And it's pretty far from free. I use Photoshop CS2 and it usually cost anywhere from 200 to 600$.

I'm obsessed with the glow tool. My friend's dad is a photoshop artist. He used glow tool to make a freaky flip book. Hahah, I helped. And, quick question, is that ghost a armatar, if so, how many points do you need. I want it!

What ever happened to his account? I still havn't found out anything about that yet.

you can make custom Armatars?


The one I made was for the Spring event where people can make and submit their own for Carlie to add. Sadly, the event is over now, but hopefully there will be a Summer event up soon.

And, quick question, is that ghost a armatar, if so, how many points do you need. I want it!


It's an old temporary armatar from a Halloween event back in October. I'm sure that it isn't available for selection anymore. Somehow, it's still viewable for me though.

By the way, I've kind of been in a GFX rut for awhile, so i havn't really made anything recently which is why this thread is so inactive. ;_;

So to make up for it, I will be taking requests. =]

If you want me to make a custom Signature or Avatar for ye, please include which colors or which kind of theme you want me to follow.

I will gladly make it as soon as possible, but please give me about a day- to a week to finish it.

Don't be afraid to ask, I'm hoping some great stuff will come out of this! ^^
