I got this idea just a while back. Basically, it's going to be a merge of three great games: Assassins Creed, Prince of Persia Two Thrones, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Setting You're a 17 year old boy/girl who's been kicked out of your house by your cruel stepdad. You had a hobby of street running and now you have to use it to survive here in the cruel harsh streets. You've got to avoid gangs, or join them. Get beaten up, or beat them. Get caught, or avoid them. You've got to do what it takes to keep on living; fight, steal and run. From Assassins Creed I'm going to incorporate these elements: -Climbing -Vertical free roam -Assassination -Pickpocketing -Overhearing conversations -Blending in with the crowd -Etc. [u]Prince of Persia[u] These: -Combat system -Speedkill -All acrobatic moves [u]Oblivion[u] These: -Sandbox gameplay -Immersive city and NPCs
This is here now not that people can join up or reserve spaces, but so they can help improve it before it goes up. For example, what other features can I incorporate into it to make it even better? Thanks for all your help in advance.
Ah yes I completely forgot about those. However, I'll have to modernise them as this is set in todays world. Or rather give them perks as classes is more for medieval RPGs.
Medieval? Hmm good choice BTW. A New Class, that will be a Tank: Paladin
Make Weapon Classes:
-Daggers (Good for Combat Rogue) -Claws (Good for Climbing Rogue) -Swords (Good for Combat Berserker) -Axes (Good for Speedkill Berserker) -Staves (Good for Spell Psychic) -Wands (Good for Charming Psychic) -Sword and a Shield (Good for Armored Paladin) -Two-Hand Sword (Good for Burst Damage Paladin)
Nah I think you understood me wrong. Paladins, Rogues etc. is not good for this RPG. It's meant to be modern day so weapons will be thinks like lead pipes or wooden planks. Classes could be like:
How about less emphasis on the violent stuff. These people are jsut going to be using what they find in the streets like a lead pipe. Bodybuilder can fall under athlete and object builder can fall under Hacker.
-Fast -Quick verticle climbing -Very acrobatic -Use power to quickly kill -Cannot blend in with crowds becaus the are well known -They aren't very intelligent
Socailite:
-Good at overhearing things -Can convince people very well -Average speed and wirticle climb -Somewhat intelligent -Cannot blend with crowds -Averge at killing
Hacker:
-Very intellegent -Can conince very well -Can hack computers and program robots -Not fast -Don't have a good verticle climb
My tip is that if you're going to include attributes, don't just have them just for the sake of having them. If you don't incorporate them into dice rolls or something, then they're pretty much useless.
The idea is pretty cool though. Do you have a specific plotline or something to drive the action along?
@Spore Good idea I might do that but that would require a bit more planning *does a bit more planning*
@Parsat Thanks. However, I'm not going to do either. I'm going to take into account what their attributes are when they attempt something. I'm not going to make the game easy! This is the streets!
