OH and the reason I did this? There's probably more threads like this someplace in A.G. but I did it so you don't have to dig to find the stuff. Just post regularly and it'll be easy to find. P.P.S.- On second thought, Disturbed haters, go ahead and post. Debates are allowed, and they'll probably liven up this thread.
But they are so far from the greatest band ever it's not even funny. Having some technical skill (not as much as some other bands, but a good deal) does not make them good. Most of their songs are cookie-cutter nu-metal - they have a few good ones, but they just don't push beyond the norm and be anything but. . .average. And many older bands had WAY more technical skill than they do, but they're technical skill is pretty good for the most part.
i dont hate them or love em i liked about 6 disturbed songs to be honest most of the songs are a bit rubish but some of thier songs are some of my overally favourite songs eg diefy, 10000 fists, the night , indestructable, down with sickness all those are awesome songs inside the fire is pretty good too.

All Disturbed has is technical skill. Their songs are shallow, overly repetitive, cookie-cutter nu-metal that hasn't and probably never will extend beyond mediocre. They're not good, they're not bad. They're just. . .mediocre.
Though their singer has a great vice when he's not screaming or growling. His voice fails when he screams or growls. . .but his clean voice is great.
The greatest band of all time is judged by influence, originality, technical skill, and depth of the music. Disturbed hasn't influenced much, their music is not original, they have above-average technical skill and their music is not deep.
