the Fray are good, Coldplay is effing fantastic (especially a Rush of Blood to the Head) but 3OH!3. . .sucks.

Modest Mouse, especially their 90s stuff, is some of the deepest, most metaphorical and philosophical music out there, while still sounding great.

Their best song is Edit the Sad Parts.

Modest Mouse, especially their 90s stuff,

Hus... I didn;t realise you liked Mighty Mouse I must remember to look them up properly sometime.

I think the coolest bands of my time are The Verve, Oasis and Blur classic BriPop bands with a great attitude and brilliant lyrics. Of bands that are mor modern I think the Arctic Monkeys are kinda cool they are groeing on me at least. (so they must be good) I'm not sure how famous they are in America though.

Exactly, shame they are overlooked at times (as are many great bands that never "broke America". I think Oasis are arguably better but I love some of Blurs songs.

Boys And Girls and Country House are excellent songs, Blur should be more known.

MMouse is also one of the best 90s bands. . . .

Their frontman, Isaac Brock, is a genius. He writes a bout 90% of all their stuff.

Their est albums are Interstate-8 and the Moon & Antarctica.

Fleet Foxes are also great. They're my favorite folkish band

I would suggest songs. . .but they only have one album, and every song is phenomenal. 'He Doesn't Know Why' and 'White Winter Hymnal' are my faves though. . . .

Sorry alt I'm so sorry mighty is always in my head when think of them <kicks self> MODEST God dang it... sorry alt.

I'm not a huge fan of girls and boys but country house is great. Ithink song 2 (not the WooHoo song one of themost annoying things in the world when people call it that) coffee and TV, end of a century and parkklife are their best. But I think alot of BritPop is underrated especially some of Oasis' less famous songs.

It's okay.
You should look 'em up, though. Night on the Sun, Edit the Sad Parts, and Dramamine are some of Modest Mouse's best songs.

For Fleet Foxes, any of the songs on their debut album would do. They're all great
