Try prince of persia, it's a pretty sweet game.
If you don't have a wii it probably isn't as fun (on the wii you make the swinging motions).

Hands of War RPG is a fantastic game.

Tales of Symphonia for GCN and TOS2 for the Wii. Zelda Games, Fire Red/Leaf Green. Any in the series beyond that (except emerald) is a money issue and they wore it out. the Third set was the best, and always after season 5 or so (there were the 2 non-game seasons) those things start to get worse. Clock work. Yu-gi-oh (although GX was pretty good).

Anyway, Halo 3, COD4 both technically RPGs.

I like Oblivion, definately my favorite RPG for a console.

If you have a DS I would Highly recommend Golden Sun and/or Golden Sun Lost Age.

fable 1 and 2 are both great
or for an old ps2/xbox game go for baulders gate

For free and good quality, i've tried alot of games online, and i say Sonny 2!
