Why is there a game quick jump? The only games in there are the new games and popular games. Those are all on the home screen, so its faster just to click on the game. Also the home screen includes a random game. So it actually has all that and a bag of chips.

Why is there a dropdown bar? The only choice there is games, and that is the default. It should have these following choices.
Games Authors (For the game creators. When searched it would show games made by that user) User (show the users) Tags (game tags) Threads (In the community).
That would be much easier than typing http://armorgames.com/user/PUTUSERNAMEHERE
Those are all on the home screen, so its faster just to click on the game.
From anywhere else on the site than the front page, it is faster to use the quick jump than to first click onto the front page, and then select a game.
Not that I'm ever bothered by that one extra click.

I think it's a leftover thing from back when there was two different searches implemented on the site. But yes, it's pointless now.
Because it isn't sensible to have a game slow jump. :P Or what Zoph said.

I used to wonder this too. Like what Zoph said, I believe that the forum search was also located there. So once the removed the forum search they never bothered to get rid of the drop down bar. Possibly they are working on some new search for it, which could also be a reason why the drop down bar was never removed.
