I coompletely agree. I never understand why they put on such "sensitive" adverts and get away with it. "Feminine dryness" soes not need to be advertised at tea time. Though it seems that almost all these adverts are aimed at women. I haven't seen an advert for Viagra.
Speaking of advertisements, have you seen the commercial armorgames was on?
there was a commercial for controllers to plug into your computer to play online games with, and it showed a bunch of websites pictures. One of them was Armor Games' logo. I think the product was called Game Stix, but I'm not sure.
Maybe no one has thought to not put those ads at those times because it shouldn't be such an issue. Yeah okay, it's about personal hygiene. But still. As are deodorant or shaving material ads. So why hide those specific commercials? It's something almost every female goes through anyway. Perfectly natural. Shouldn't disgust people nearly as much as it does. (If you have to see a used sanitary pad, okay, be disgusted. But hearing it explained really shouldn't be an issue.)
It's not like they're showing anything graphic. If the kid shouldn't see it, they shouldn't know what they're talking about in these commercials.
Comedy Central, 2 am o.O I was at a friends house about a week ago, and these Girls Gone Wild commercials kept on coming on, yup.
I'm guessing they don't expect children/preteens/people too young to be awake at 2 AM watching the comedy channel. But I agree, if they are showing anything graphic like nudity, then it shouldn't be allowed at anytime.

No, of course not. I just used that as an example when he said they don't advertise porn.
I was watching Spongebob with my little brother and during a commercial break there were 5 viagra commercials IN A ROW! Why must they corrupt the minds of children.
I had about the same experience as the OP. My nephews were over watching Nickelodeon and all of a sudden one of them erecti..... 'we can give ya a woodie' commercials comes on. I was like, Jees do they have to advertise that on a kids channel? Theres no morals on TV. Theyll explain all about adult diapers or that time of the month right smack in the middle of Sesame Street.
The kids are going to have to learn about periods sooner or later. I don't really see a problem with those kinda ads on Nickelodian. If it was a Girls Gone Wild commercial, I would be a little concerned but other than that, it's not such a big deal. (I hate those penis enlargement commercials that come on Comedy Central late at night. lol)
