Hi AG-Team.

Short Question:
How about a German Board in this Community? (If you need a Mod for a German Board...aks me^^)

Nobody speaks German here

People do. Some of my friends use it as a second language. Then again, IT IS en English Forum.

The board could cause spam - It's just a German board, I am thinking its like the Tavern, but in German.

Everything does cause spam, the main reason why AG does not want to allow multiple languages is not because of spam.

This is the main subject I'm gonna post about....

Firstly, mods are selected by merit, not because they have asked. You show that you can be a mod, not ask to be one.

Secondly, asking to be a mod generally reduces your chances of being one. There are plenty of people aroundd there who can speak German too. Though the mods will prolly use babelfish if they don't understand anything.

Well, he wasn't exactly asking to be a mod. He was saying that if his idea passed, he is available and willing to do the job. There is a difference between asking and suggesting.

Anywho, time to get back to your idea.
The main problem is just that. As far as I'm aware there are no German speaking mods. The closest to it is Zophia, and she speaks Danish. That is most likely the main reason there aren't any subsections in the forum for different languages, other than it being an English forum of course... which has been stated numerous times. And on terms of being a mod, well Nicho hit it. You have to be trust worthy, 100%. Which means you would have to have been here for a semi-long amount of time. No mod had below 1000 posts, other than Dank, but he was a mod very early on in the days of AG, and he is right at 1000. But yeah, the problem I see is the lack of being able to moderate the subsection(s).
