your friend has become a dictator (in essence, at one point you knew him as your friend and the next time you saw him he was a dictator.) his power is undisputed and nobody dares defy him. however, he has become corrupt and harsh with his unlimited power, the next hitler. he has killed and enslaved to many to be kept alive any longer. he has spared you because he still thinks of you as his one true friend.

so here's the choice. a gun is thrust into your hands and you're tasked with killing your best friend and end his rule. you hesitate as your crosshairs waver over your best friends head. will you pull the trigger?

there are only two options, kill him or don't.

Yes, I would pull the trigger. Splatter his brains all over the place. I have always been a firm believer in kill those who kill the innocent (AKA Capital Punishment). Unfortunately, I would also die. Most dictators have some bad arse bodyguards, and that equals death for any attacker.

I would kill him and take his place.
Nah I would just kill him.

If you think about this even farther in depth you can think of it this way. You kill him and the world basically falls apart without someone at the head. Or you don't kill him and the world also basically destroys itself. It would require more information who knows what could happen in the vast probabilities of your decisions.Evil is just a concept you might think a certain group is evil but that group could see you as evil. I also agree you wouldn't get the option of killing him no matter how friendly they are. Especially in the modern era (if it then when it is taking place).

okay here is the point of the thread. your friend has become hitler, but he's your best friend. do you kill him? the choice is obvious, but think more emotionally. are you really willing to shoot your best friend in the head? think beyond logic and reason and think more of what your about to do. what if you were the hitler? would your friend do the same?

I doubt any of my friends would shoot me, but I would shoot them due to my vicious belief in kill the wicked. However, I think that deep down inside most people wouldn't kill him/her. There is no need to live with yourself anyway, as you'll be dead as well, if you kill him/her.

I would never kill anybody, regardless if they're the next Hitler. I would try to talk to them to see if I could change their way of thinking.

Violence is not the answer kiddies.

Dammit darkroot, i know this sounds stupid, but you answered it too well, and thought too far into it. Yes, i would kill him. It would pain me, and it wouldn't feel right, but I'd do it.

I think thing to far sometimes. Like would killing him actually make the world a better place, or would if actually make it worse? Would you actually ruin the world? "From the frying pan into the fire?".

I agree. How did we know that when we killed Hitler, his assistant wouldn't come forth in his shadow, and have even more twisted thoughts. Also, your perception changes based on the fact that he is your friend, and you may share his morals and ideas. If you were someone that wasn't seen as useful by the dictator, and was to be eliminated, then you would see it differently. Pendragon: Raven Rise shows this just as well as the holocaust, but has a lesser import because it is fiction.

Pendragon Raven Rise was a good book. But really there could of been things worse than Hitler.

I completely agree. When Naymeer fell, Pendragon changed the tables. Instead of Saint Dane controlling Halla indirectly, he controlled it directly. You should always find out what is behind the set (comparison) before acting

your friend has become hitler,

well My friend was named Joseph Hitler. He was made fun a lot because of his name.

also... doesn't this seem vaguely suspiciously familiar?
