Okay, my musical vocabulary is somewhat limited, so I'll post definite hits that I know of.
While talented musicians, I hate their vocals. There are metal bands with vocals I like, say, Megadeth, Mastodon, Between the Buried and Me, etc. but they do not fall into this category. You're right, I haven't listened to the WHOLE song, just the intro and gave up on it.
However, GnR is a terrible band as well. However, only Chinese Democracy was terrible, and every song before it (like Paradise City) were enjoyable.
I hope that explains it, and vocals are important. I don't give a damn whether or not you can play fast if you have a crappy singer.
Classic Jimi Hendrix. His riffs in this song are awesome. He plays with such smooth agility, it's mind blowing. Crazy Train is pretty good, but over played I think.
