and why is it that mods are only one short times?

Simply put, we need a few mods that are in middle school or something. Mods that have more free time would work well with that problem. Most of the mods are in college or older and have more important things to do. If some mods were in grade school (but still mature), then we could have mods on more often.

The mods are amazing at the forums there is almost no spam, only some of the game comments are spam. But it's impossible checking 1500 games. So I think that AG is a great website, with great mods. Because that the users help too. The only problem is the quality of the threads.

The majority is, but the World Events, Politics, Religion, Etc. and Art, Music, and Writing sections have some really good threads.

No, it's also due to spam, flaming and downright crappy posts. Posts that are one-worders, post that say other's spam, post that give an opinion without a reason, all these things ruin the Community.

But then again, what can we do apart from refraining from doing such things and giving mods a link?

Life does go on....

As I said before I believe that the problem isn't spam, the problem are the users answers and some threads which aren't good.

Make some good threads yourself instead of complaining about the threads made by others.

That is good. ... Yes.

In case you thought so, I wasn't directing that bit of the post at you or anyone in particular. It's just general advice.

means you have an active mod so who cares~

We do Zoph. RL issues before the Net. Remember that.

dam right.
Please don't make a post that does nothing other than agree with another post. Such a post does not add anything constructive to the topic at hand, and can be deleted as spam. *deletes it*

Irony always tickles my soul.

Fix that by only posting in quality threads, rather than in threads where it's easy to leave a single post or two for the AP.
Discuss with each other.

People have been trying to knock it into other peoples' heads, but it doesn't work. Even if it does, there will always be someone who doesn't care.

The thing is, most kids at that age are not mature enough to handle the responsibility.

Some adults too.

It depends on which people you find. Some of the kids at my middle school are leaders and act like adults. There are even some children that are more mature than their teachers. If there are some people that have free time, they just need to be mature and able to handle the responsibility of a mod.

As said, I probably won't be on as much, from August and forward...

Be more active in good threads so they don't get buried by bad ones. Or dig them back up.

And actually be interested in this site.
Dedication to AG is one of the important features of moderators on here.
Can't just haul any intelligent and mature kids with time on their hands in.

Get ready for a lot of reading

There are some things that members can do that moderators can't. Some people are starting to see that, while some are starting to abuse such a realization.

I would also like to add that some helpful members are very important to this site. Some people are better off as regular members rather than being moderators.

Trust me when I say this, the mods are very active on this site. We have our eyes open all the time. We do not talk much, so it seems like we are away quite often, but there is no need to make more moderators due to demand.

So, many people are asking how they can help. A few things I have noticed in the community is that everyone wants to make a game or a club that they are in charge of. We need to stop these threads. Why make a poll when you can have a regular conversation? Why make a poll on favorite pizza topics, rather than make a thread that talks about favorite pizza topings? Polls turn into games, and conversations either go off topic, or they remain vague.

There is a lack of forum etiquette as well. It is hard to push forum etiquette on people because they are not rules, only a form of manners that help the community stay under a balance of control and activity.

-For example, many people will start talking back and fourth with one another in a thread. This is alright once in a while, but if you are going to reply to another reply, you need to keep in mind the original post and make sure that you still keep your reply relevent to the thread.

-Also, if you don't understand what someone is trying to say, don't ask "what?" and leave. Try your best to understand what taht person is trying to say and reply to the best of your ability. If you have to ask, then do so, but do try and understand the thread as well.

And the last reason why the community here may seem dull is because we have sooo many threads that are treated like blogs or something. Forum threads are supposed to die! Everyone wants to make a thread, then update it regularly like it is their own myspace page. This disrupts the flow of threads in the community and it becomes a great bore to see the same bloody threads on the front page, every single day for weeks. If a thread is so popular that it stays alive, that's great. But if a thread is being bumped only because a person is updating it, or a few members do enjoy keeping it bumped for popularity sake, then it might as well die. There are always acceptions to the constantly updated threads. The forum games will be a place of constant thread updating, along with a few threads in the art section.

The above explains my own opinions of why the community here seems boring. Don't get my wrong, the AG community is still one of the best online forums I have ever taken part in, but it can still be improved.

Slick warning.

*Sigh*....looks like people have never heard what an IM Program is.

The AMW is gonna die then....It's not that people don't visit the thread sometimes, it's that they don't want to post, or can't bother to find the art/stories/music in the thread >_>

Nic conclusion to a brilliant essay mate...But how can it be improved, in your eyes?

Sadly, most users won't be bothered to read that chunk of forbiding text. >_<
