If I recall, AG is much much younger than both Miniclip and Newgrounds. Miniclip's probably one of the original flash game hosts, and often the first port of call for many aspiring procrastinators.
Honestly the first of something tends to be the most successful a lot of the time, unless others can make an unarguably better version of what they have, with enough advertisement to make it clear they exist and are better. Armor Games has some of the greatest games, but is still glitchy in comparison.
