ok guys, so b4 i whine about this here on these boards, just 2 let u know how patient i've been, i've already tried beating the riot/secret police training fight in zone 5...FIFTEEN TIMES A NITE, EACH NITE, FROM TUES-FRI, N AGAIN ON MON-TUES!!!
so 4 those that don't wanna do the math, THAT'S NINETY FREAKING FIGHTS WITH NOT ONE FREAKING IMPERIAL RIFLE DROPPED????!!!! WHAT THE FREAKING HELL??!!
i've equipped my whole team w/their backup armor, their better armor, their backup weapons, their stronger weapons, killed the riot cop 1st, killed the secret cop 1st, AND NOTHING!!!
so WHAT the freak am i doing wrong, or what do i have 2 do 2 get this stinking thing 2 drop????!!!!
this is the LAST thing i have 2 get b4 defeating the mayor (n yes, i already have supremacy n the riot gun--BUT THE RIOT GUN IS THE ONLY FREAKING GUN i can get these guys 2 drop!!!!)
no, n that's the ironic part--i started playing this on challenging, just 2 get a feel 4 it, n then after i beat it using all 3 classes, i'm gonna go back n do heroic.
btw, if u, or ne1 else knows how 2 upload/download a game save file here, n would be willing 2 try n get it 4 me, that'd REALLY be appreciated--thanx
If I've ever gotten the imperial rifle from the Riot/Secret Police fight, it's been a rare occasion. If you haven't passed it already, the third encounter with two Secret Police is where I usually get that drop.
hey elnimrodo--well, actually, i'm on the final battle w/the mayor, but wanted 2 get it b4 finishing zone 5. n obviously, NOW, if i'd known how hard this thing would be 2 drop, i would've kept redoing THAT fight, instead of the training one.
n hey firetail--yeah, nk, tell me about it. ironically, i got the emerald death twice in about 12-15 total tries in both my bio n hydro builds, n less than 5 for my psycho build. but ZERO DROPS AFTER NINETY TRIES???!!! that's more than bad luck--it's a statistical impossibility, n pushed me 2 the point where i don't even wanna play nemore, just b/c of how ridiculous this has become.
so if u guys, or ne1 else, can help, like i said, if ne1 knows how, lemme know, n i'll upload my gamesave--or if ne1 can lemme know a "trick" 2 get this flipping thing 2 drop--thanx
ok, i can't believe this, but i think i'm gonna have 2 start level 5 over just so i can get this freaking gun???!!!
i have EVERYTHING else i want/need, EXCEPT 4 this damn thing. but b4 i do, i'm asking no_stress, or krin himself, or whoever knows about the game programming--apparently the training fight isn't programmed 2 drop the imperial rifle, is it?? b/c i just did another 15 fights 2nite, which now brings the total to ONE-HUNDRED FIVE, w/STILL no gun.
so i guess it's a good thing i backed up my game save files prior 2 starting level 5 then after all, though now that means i wasted about a week's worth of gaming, n ANOTHER week of training fights, just 2 figure out i can't get ONE stinking weapon 2 drop???!!!
The code for the Imperial Rifle may have been mixed to the one for Royal Grips. Hence, the Secret Police may have dropped Royal Grips continuously instead of Imperial Rifle during training fights.
wow, ok, so THANX topagentggjr--that's the kinda insight i was hoping 4 from one of u "experts" on here. ok, so now i have 2 questions about this:
1) how did the codes get mixed up; & 2) how do i get this fixed?
or, actually, i just thought of this--is there ne way i can do nething w/my gamesave file 2 adjust the code so that i can add the imperial rifle 2 my inventory w/o screwing up nething else??
