Holmes was a excellent movie with superb roles played by Downey Jr. and Law, but somehow I tend to vote for AVATAR!
This movie presented the 3-D effects on a new level and allthough the storyline was very thin, I really liked it! =)
@TerryLasVegas: that was only a rumour put out on the net, or else you would have seen 'something' somewhere in the movie. And it was all nicely 'juuuust not to be seen' presented in the film, if you know what I mean? Think we can agree Cameron is just chicken to take the leap of faith and actually do it...
Sherlock Holmes was far more interesting. Avatar was way too predictable. You could tell from the beginning that Sam Worthington would rebel against the humans and become a blue Pandoran. The outcome of Sherlock Holmes was completely unseen. I could have only predicted it if I had seen the movie once before!
Sherlock Holmes, though I have not seen Spy Next Door, the bar for those sort of movies has always been set kinda low, so I don't think I'll waste my time with it.
Anyways, my vote goes to Sherlock Holmes since I found it to be good blockbuster entertainment, with all the big action nuances expected of this variety of film, but with just the right amount of intelligence to keep it fresh!
