Oh, and for the record, at the very bottom of Planet Renders, it says the following:
All renders in this site are property of their respective owner, any redistribution without permission of the owner is not allowed
And under random renders:
DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE THIS RENDER WITHOUT EXPLICIT PERMISSION FROM THE USER
(THIS INCLUDES USING IT IN RENDER PACKS!)
Using a render in a signature image does constitute redistributing. Therefore you'd need specific permission by the creator of the render, who would need specific permission by the original artist to even make the render of the original image.
And, you still need to write who owns the copyright of the character, otherwise they can technically sue you for breaching their copyright.
Copyright laws are not always easy to understand, but they need to be respected. Nobody should be mad at anyone for breaking a rule they didn't know existed, but heck yeah we'll "get mad" at you if you don't learn to follow the rule when you are made aware of it.
