they kind of did, its called halo wars. and that probably will be the last one. because i mean what else can tehy do for another game? except make the SAME thing but further story line. just read the books or something. halo 4 in my opinion, is a dumb idea. they should start on another game

They're making Halo ODST and Halo: Reach. You know that right? You can't call them "Halo 4" though, since ODST is like a substory and Reach is, I guess, a prequel.

They are Halo War is out but they wont be called Halo 4

Halo Wars isn't even a 'Halo' series.
It's a strategy game that showed the beginning of the battle between Earth and the Covenant.

Either way, there's been three, there SHOULD be four more.

It's only logical, there was said to be 'seven' rings of Halo, why would you only show three, and leave everyone on a cliffhanger?

Well it was a trilogy and it ended the way it ended. There is nothing wrong with cliffhangers.

Cliffhangers are used to make people buy the next game in the series, not to just leave people wondering. Plus, why would they just end one of the highest selling series in the history of video games? They're going to milk it for all its worth, then dump it when people get tired of the same plot line

They are not ending it the are making a different one halo odst? Also cliffhanger are made for you to think not get everything handed to you.

ODST's a minor expansion pack, only reason its going to sell anything is because they are including a beta for Halo: Reach

Not in video games. Books, yeah, they use cliffhangers to make you think, but video games are designed to sell, that's their point. So, if a plot wraps up neatly every single game people start to lose interest and don't get hyped up for the next one. Something that has a fluid plot like Halo, where its not just run N' gun but an actual storyline, is going to try to make people wait and rush out to buy the next game, and cliffhangers are one way to do that

Sure they can make other Halo's like ODST but seriously, have you seen the end of the third? they will basically never find him because he's floating around in a destroyed cyro-chamber in space.

No, but I've heard there's a Halo 4 in the works. It's being made by Gearbox.

ODST IS A 4-HOUR EXPANSION.

NOT a full sequel.

That's why it's called Halo 3: ODST.

ah i see, i was viewing pictures on that earlier today.

um ODST and Reach are already coming out... so there is already a few more halos whether you like it or not.

They should make an other Halo, but probably it will not be very good.
