First, as most people know the NBA draft started yesterday and it had the least dramatic first pick in any draft before. The L.A. Clippers said they would take Blake Griffin as soon as they got the first pick in the draft.
Other news, Shaq was traded to the Cavs for Ben Wallce and another guy (forgot his name) 2nd round pick in the 2010 draft and $.5 million dollars. I think that was too much for just Shaq but Ben Wallce said he might retire after this season so I guess it is okay.
Does anyone else have a comment about these topics or others?
I do not see that esp. since the USA won gold in the Olympics and players come from other countries to play in the NBA. The NBA is the best of the best.
It will be interesting to follow the Clippers and the development of Griffin. Considering their past with number one picks and their production when you consider their potential coming out of college, you would think their fans are holding their breath.
Just think, in 1998 with the very first pick, they chose Michael Olowokandi. They could have had Dirk.

He lost his game when he left Detroit, you have to admit. When he played for the Pistons, he was a feared defender. Not anymore. Anyway, I think that the Nuggets are going to win the West next year. I just have a strange feeling about that.
Concerning the Clippers, I'm just wondering what the hell happened. A couple a years ago they advanced to the 2nd Round in the playoff, but lost the the Suns. They traded Baron Davis, I don't think Sam Cassell is there anymore and Elton Brand is gone. What the hell Clippers? You need all that damn experience.

and they other player that the cavs traded was sasha pavlovic...
Funny how they get paid soo much just to play basketball. On top of that, most of them are pretty horrible.

yeah olowokandi isnt the worst first pick ever and many stars are even late first round and second round picks...
so im thinking that the rockets are going to get rid of T mac... i think that it would be the best for him and the team... i loved him when he wasnt breaking a bone every time he laced up his shoes and they seem to have gotten allot of money in the past two days and i think they are looking to spend... another thing do you guys think that the vince carter(cousin of T mac) trade to orlando is a better trade than the cavs gaining that big old guy XD

i know right?? lol why do teams do this kind of crap??? and the t wolfs drafting 4 gaurds in the first round?? wtf is up with that??
i think if the cavs dont win the title in the next year or two james is going to leave or take a crazy amount of money
gaining shaq was a really dumb move on their part...
and dont you think he would leave for both? he might go over seas for a massive amount of money and could you blame a person for taking lets say 130 million US?? i would take that... but i think bron really most likely would go to NY over any other place if he had the choice
